The boys have been playing quite a bit of Sonic the Hedgehog on the Wii and the DS. It has become a personal favorite for Tiger. In fact, he can often be seen running around sporting his "Sonic" face and referring to everyone in some form of Sonic. I am "Mommy Sonic" and then we have "Daddy Sonic" and Tiger is referred to as "Little Sonic". You get the idea.

A Day With The Cousins
Since Monday was a holiday and there was no school, I had the cousins come over to play. Good times were had by all.

Thoughts and observations
Last Sunday in Sparky's primary class, the teachers were teaching the kids about procreation and how Adam and Eve were commanded to multiply and replenish the earth. Sparky in all his wonderful innocence and intelligence raised his hand and said, "Shouldn't they date first?"
We don't get a lot of sun here during the winter. It is very cloudy and gloomy. Well this morning the sun was thinking about making an appearance and as Tiger looked out the window he squealed, "Look mommy, I see the sky!"

A Belated Christmas post - for the Grandparents
Here's just a quick look at our Christmas day.
The kids in their Christmas jammies
I wound yarn around the house and they had to follow the trail to get to their presents.
KK's trail led to and American Girl doll. She was shocked and had no idea that she would be getting one.
Sparky got a bike, although it was a little anticlimatic because pretty much knew that was what he was getting.
Here's Tiger with his "light saver" and of course a train.
However, the big hit of the day for this boy was this dragon and these dinosaurs. Many battles took place over the course of the morning.

Kiss it and make it better
Whenever Tiger gets hurt he insists that I kiss his boo-boo and make it better, wherever it might be. Sparky went through this phase at the same age and well and I had to kiss places I would like to forget about, but that's a story for another day. Back to Tiger:
Yesterday when we came home from church I noticed that Tiger had some dried blood on the inside of his nose. He never picks his nose and so I figured that he must of bumped it at some point.
Me: Tiger, did you hurt your nose today? I see some dried blood, did you get a boo-boo?
Tiger: Yeah, I hurt my boogers, kiss it.

Tiger Talk
While getting Tiger ready for church the last two weeks:
Tiger: Look Mommy, I so pretty. I'm a princess. I'm Belle.

Breakfast with Santa
It was a cold and frosty Saturday morning and we thought what better way to start the day than to have Breakfast with Santa at the local YMCA. We munched on pancakes and sausage and orange juice. It was rather tasty. Sparky even managed to get a little pancake in his mouth along with his syrup. After we ate, the kids joined in a little Christmas story and singing time.
Finally it was time to see the big guy. But since the line was a bit long, the boys killed the time by cruising around the gym. Actually it was rather cool. The "Y" had tumbling mats set up, and a little basketball hoop as well as the tricycles to ride. I had to drag Tiger away from all of that fun stuff to sit on Santa's lap.
So here they are, sitting on scary eyebrow Santa's lap telling him all of their hearts desires. Only time would tell if those wishes came true.
