We decided that this year we were going to be fun parents and so we packed up a picnic and headed off to watch some fireworks. My kids have seen fireworks before, but we have never been this close-up to the actual show. Actually, I think that this may have been Tiger's first year, but that is because he really, really does not like loud sounds. Fortunately he did great and he didn't even freak out at all. In fact, he was cracking everyone up with how excited he was by the whole show.

Captain Jack loves sparklers, especially when he can pretend that they are a sword.
Overall the night was a success, although trying to get out of the parking lot afterwards was a total nightmare. Hopefully we can do this again next year.
