Going to the Zoo two days in a row on two different field trips is awesome. But just look at this excited face. How could I not go to the Zoo with this girl?
We of course started out with the Polar Bears which turned out to be just as fun as the day before.
Here he was just playing in the water right up next to the glass.
Next came the Brown Bears. It was very cool to watch these two fighting and it went on for quite a while. I would later find out that after our group left the area, the "fighting" turned into something a bit more intimate. I am so glad that I didn't have to explain that to the little first graders.
KK really liked this statue of a moose. It was big and cool and she was very disappointed that she couldn't climb on it and so I just took her picture in front of it instead.
The girl was very tentative about going into the little petting area. In fact she totally freaked out anytime a goat came anywhere near her. However, after observing that there were lots of children actually touching the goats without being ferociously attacked, she gave the brush a go and actually enjoyed herself for a moment.
Badum, badum. That's all folks.
